I have to say this series was a massive disappointment. Heard it was one of the best anime series of all time and I honestly couldn’t see what makes it so great. The first OP is a banger, and there are some good moments in the first season, but the show is a mess.
What sucks even more was the fact that I had to watch the censored version. Was hoping for some gory horror action, and all I got was large spots of blackness covering all the good stuff. Of course, getting to see the gore likely wouldn’t have made me like the show a whole lot more.
Show gets a 2/4 from me. I feel like this is an anime that pretty much only edge lords love.

I've never seen it but I have heard of it and I've personally never heard it referred to as one of the best anime series of all time.
I have heard it suffers from Black Butler syndrome where it has a strong start but rapidly declines in quality. This is all I know of it.

Gonna be honest, I turned it off after like 10 episodes or so. This series despite some interesting ideas and visuals just didn't grab me in at all. Being a completest, I'll try to revisit it and finish it in the future, but yeah, this definitely seems like one of the more overhyped series.

Haven't seen it because it doesn't seem like my kind of show. But I had a similar experience with Future Diary. It started off good for an episode or two but gradually it becomes more and more of a mess. Worst of all, I bought the series because it wasn't available on Netflix DVD which made it even worse.

My Future Diary? That did start out promising. Then it got real dumb real fast and I think what killed for me was the protagonist suddenly and inexplicably turning to the dark side. It's been a minute and I doubt I'll revisit it but I never understood his motivation for doing that at the time and I may never know.

I should've said it's one of the most popular anime series. It definitely starts off pretty well but falls apart by the end of the first season. Kinda wish I just stopped watching right then and there.
