It also makes him seem "wrong" especially when JOKER just won two Oscars on eleven nominations.

Wait. You thought I was talking about DC and Marvel movies that didn’t have any superheroes in them? The goalpost never moved, Ace. You were just viewing it through the wrong end of the binoculars. Imagine the angst among DC superhero fan if DC decided the future was to jettison their superheroes and just make edgy movies about psychotic individuals. Lex Luther with no Superman. The cast of Cats, with no Wonder Woman. Talk about selling your soul just so you can get a pat on the head by the Academy once a year. That would be the ultimate capitulation in the Marvel, DC rivalry.

I am pretty indifferent to the debate Marvel vs DC.
But for me its like this
Marvel makes the better live action movies
DC makes the better animated movies, animated tv shows and live action tv shows.
I have never read a Marvel or DC comic so i have no idea which one is better in that aspect.

It also makes him seem "wrong" especially when JOKER just won two Oscars on eleven nominations. And Wonder Woman broke a billion and was critically acclaimed And Aquaman also broke a billion and yes, Joker People see what they WANT to see. Both Wonder Woman and Aquaman are tainted. Aquaman came out after Justice League and people were looking for hope at that point. Joker might be remember, but it won't be watched. People won't come home from work and pop in Joker unless they are also psycho.

Not that it matters but Wonder Woman did not break a billion. It's total worldwide box office is $822,303,505

I think that will cover it.

The long running DC animated universe is still better than anything the MCU had done so...

The long running DC animated universe is still better than anything the MCU had done so... Gotta disagree. After Flashpoint, there were several duds. It was a bit of downhill slope there for a while. Especially War. MCU has had some great movies and told a fantastic decade-long story.

In terms of ever competing with the MCU on equal terms with their own universe, after Batman v Superman. In hindsight they should have rebooted, hard or soft, after Man of Steel.
But even if these two were good and well-received, they would have been stuck playing catch-up forever ever since Iron Man + Incredible Hulk beat them to the punch in the same year. Green Lantern was their first universe attempt and it came the same year as Thor and Captain America. Perhaps DC should have doubled down on solo movies for other people besides Batman and Superman.
Maybe Green Lantern should have been a solo movie instead of having Amanda Waller out of nowhere as the Nick Fury figure, and thus there's no need for the especially weak Earth villain (who was more sympathetic than Hal). Make it all happen in space past the origin like in that cartoon movie.

Because the old was far better. Not only can what the company is doing now not compete with Marvel, it can't compete with itself from several years ago.

Although I prefer the Marvel comics and movies to date - I think the biggest mistake DC made was trying to push it into a competition. They did a disservice to their characters by running their way to JL before they had a functional cast of characters that we genuinely cared about.
The DC vs Marvel stuff is all BS anyway. I hope the DC stuff gets incredible traction and we are forced to suffer with incredible content from both companies!
