My father was a huge fan of Clancy, so I grew up on this guy and Jack Ryan. Be interesting to see.

My dad raves about the book and I loved Sicario 2 (Sollima is directing this one as well), so I’m hoping this will be good.

It comes out in three days and there's literally nothing about it as far as reviews or even general buzz.
I'm worried that Amazon is trying to hide it because it sucks. I hope it's just poor marketing on their part. I'm actually pretty excited for this.

I guess I get what I deserve for looking at reviews...
One spoils an important plot point and another cites "conservative patriotism" as a reason to dislike it.
Reminds me of Sollima's last theatrical movie all over again. I was assured that Sicario 2 was some kind of MAGA wet-dream for ultra-violent sadists - and needless to say that couldn't have been further from the truth.

Watched it just now. It's decent, nothing too bad or too great.
The opening 15 minutes or so are really good. Sollima knows how to shoot action, so there were a few solid set pieces throughout.
The story is dumb and predictable, though, barely making a 1hr 49min movie feel justified. Soft recommend from me. I'd probably rate it 6/10.
I'm excited for Sollima, though. Hopefully the poor reception of this movie won't scare producers away from giving him some cool projects in the future.
