What role will she play? Clearly she probably won't be the central antagonist. So will she be like Scarecrow in BB: just a powerless pawn of the main villain... Kaiceliousises in Doctor Strange: an active avatar of the main villain? Or will she actually be the main villain after all?
I hope the latter. After reading a bit on the character she actually sounds really interesting, a true opposite of WW with some interesting gender based nuances (that the film probably won't emphasis).
Also, to anyone more knowledgable about WW comics: Does Dr Poison ever wear that prosthetic mask in the comics that she does in the movie or is that a new creation?

A pawn of Ares most likely. Supposedly, the events that lead to Steve Trevor crashing on Themiscyra have to do with him stealing Dr. Poison's notebook that contains the formulas to her chemical weapons.
As for the mask, that's new.

As for the mask, that's new. Very likely. Her chemical weapons could be based on knowledge given to her from Ares. The soundtrack for WW has a track called "Fausta" feminine of "Faust". Possibly implying a deal with the Devil/Ares.

She will be working with Danny Huston's General Erich Ludendorff:

Also, yes, the character has always worn a mask:

The character was originally Japanese, and from WWII instead of WWI so there's a bit of a refit here.
Odd are, her facial mask is because her own experiments messed up her face.

They actually did a great job of making her look like the original version:

I think she's a henchwoman of Ares and General Ludendorff.
