Judging by the times when I saw a shadow it appears to have been shot on a phone. Maybe a small camera that looks like a phone. It came out in 2010 which is the same year that the I Phone came out so it probably wasn't a phone. It's common in stop motion to use a simple camera because it takes only frame by frame pictures. If you know of a phone besides an I Phone that could have been used back then, let me know because I could be wrong.
