I really didn't think original Barbie was religious. Wouldn't they make Ken marry her or not make her boobs so pert and pointy??? Where's the high lace collar???

A little girl is in line to see Santa. When it's her turn, she climbs up on Santa's lap. Santa asks, "What would you like Santa to bring you for Christmas?" The little girl replies, "I want a Barbie and G.I. Joe." Santa looks at the little girl for a moment and says, "I thought Barbie comes with Ken." "No," said the little girl, "She comes with G.I. Joe, she fakes it with Ken."

Is it weird that the only thing this image makes me think is how much that particular Barbie is worth? It’s a Gene Marshall doll, but basically a high end Barbie. My mom used to collect them. I gave them to my nieces when she passed. I think they go for $50-100 each, but that’s because their discontinued. They are exceptionally pretty dolls with well-made clothes from the 1940s and 50s. Thanks. I’m kind of disappointed it isn’t worth more, but it’s not like I have anything like that. |
