McCartney on their motivation early on: “When we first got out of Liverpool, it was money… we were kids without jobs, suddenly there was a job, and so we wanted to get paid, and the more money, the better. And it’s true, me and John did use to laugh, it was kind of a joke, a half-joke. And we once started to get a hit and knew what kind of money a hit could bring in. We said, ‘Well, let’s write a swimming pool! You need a new extension, let’s write it. Come on, sit down.'’ “It was only later that we discovered that what we were doing was art, and there were things like muses.” “And then, I think he then started to think, ‘Oh, is it more-noble if we don’t write for money and we just write for art or love?’ But that comes in anyway… So I think the two can coexist. And yeah, I’m happy to enjoy both.” faroutmagazine.co.uk/paul-mccartney-money-main-motivation-the-beatles/

Ringo's solo work has never been the best, particularly his recent stuff, but man this is a great track:

Been quite astonished at how dull the recent 3 part "Let It Be" footage has been. Ringo looks bored and stoned all the time, George is treated like shit and doesn't want to be there, John is apathetic and Macca the only one who really wants to do anything, yet too much of a control freak to actually let it happen. Not sure how Jackson managed to make all those hours of footage so utterly depressing and boring. The only thing that it really informs us of (and they admit it in the film) is that after "Mr.Epstein" died choosing to manage themselves was a massive mistake, they lacked any real discipline once they became a certain level of famous and rich.

Not after they moved studios, talked to the plant, talked George into coming back, and Billy Preston showed up.

The Scott Muni` folder has a file "Scott Muni reflects on 5 hours of Beatles music." The Paul is Dead file will open if file type is changed from .mpx to .mp3. Rock Year 1967 has Beatles.
