I don't think there is any way it opens that low unless the reviews are god awful. I think females and males will show up, probably opens in the 80 million range. But being a period film may hurt it somewhat with younger audiences.

To me, as long as the film opens with at least 50 million domestically, it is a big hit. The budget for this movie was extremely low at 100 million. That is rare for a comic book movie these days.

Even if it opens to 65M, that is quite good. I happen to think that the tracking is off for this movie. Box Office pro still can't figure out tracking. They predicted 140M for BatB, only 37M off of the actual. Get Out was 13M off of actual.
Wonder Woman could be more of a 4 quadrant film for many reasons. One being because of the popularity of Linda Carters little tv show in the 1970s/80s. Could bring out the older generations that fondly remember the popular tv series. Two, females could flock to see this in groups or families. Three, the tracking for 25 years or younger for male and female is shown to be strong.
WW has the potential to do 75M+ on opening weekend. It is in my opinion that WW will have the best legs out of any DCEU movie to date.(pun intended?)

I think it will make a LOT more than that too and will go on to become the biggest selling female superhero movie of all time. At the moment the biggest selling female superhero movie of all time is 'Catwoman' which made $82.1 million at the Box Office and that was awful and was made with the script of another movie and had some things changed and the Catwoman name slapped on it after Michelle Pfeiffer announced she was no longer making a 'Catwoman' spinoff from 'Batman Returns.' Unlike that movie and 'Supergirl' with Helen Slater which people who worked on the movie said was rushed and not taken seriously 'cause it was about a female superhero this movie is being made with the intentions of succeeding and becoming a big hit and I think it will slaughter 'Catwoman.'

It cost between $100M and $120, right? One would think it should at least turn a profit.

‘Wonder Woman': Early Tracking for Debut All Over the Map, From $65 Million to $105 Million
Jeremy Fuster | May 11, 2017
Early tracking numbers have come in for one of the most anticipated titles of the summer: Warner Bros. and DC Films’ “Wonder Woman,” due in theaters on June 2, and they’re all over the map.
Some independent trackers have set a domestic opening weekend in the $65 million range — while one service projects a whopping $105 million debut.
No one expects director Patty Jenkins’ film to match the $166 million opening for last year’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” or the $133 million opening for “Suicide Squad,” which earned mostly poor reviews and ultimately suboptimal box office results.
But Warner Bros. would be delighted with a debut that came close to the launch of some of Marvel’s recent franchises, including 2015’s “Ant-Man” ($57 million domestic opening) or last year’s “Doctor Strange” ($85 million).
That would be a major triumph for a movie fronted by a female superhero, and played by relative newcomer Gal Gadot, as opposed to more familiar big-screen stars like Paul Rudd or Benedict Cumberbatch.
