If they cast Carey Mulligan as Zatanna, all hope is lost. Who would you cast? I suspect they may go mixed race. Had she not died in a freak accident last year, I would have preferred Naya Rivera.

Who would you cast? I suspect they may go mixed race. My personal choice would be Katie McGrath but she may be older than what they're looking for. Perhaps Eiza Gonzalez could be interesting. Eiza Gonzalez is a great choice. Ticks the diversity checkbox while still looking enough like Zatanna. Also... she's hot.

Bad Robot means J.J. Abrams which has me worried. I haven't seen Promising Young Woman yet, but I know it's been raved about. I wonder if this will set up for a Justice League Dark movie. Mission Impossible under BR does ok , he lets directors do their own thing

Of course, for all we know, she could be joining the MCU as Topaz. Yes! I admit I felt let down that Eiza Gonzalez didn't get the Catwoman part... though seeing how many issues that movie seems to be having I'm somewhat glad she didn't. But getting Zatanna would be even better. Been a big fan since watching her in Dusk till Dawn.

I admit I felt let down that Eiza Gonzalez didn't get the Catwoman part... though seeing how many issues that movie seems to be having I'm somewhat glad she didn't. Pretty sure Bane was never going to be in the movie. Dave Bautista said he wanted to play Bane, but that doesn’t mean Reeves had any plans to use the character in the film.
