Totally , if you play this game at many times you won't even know where to go what to do.
Well, i must say i've played it and for hours on end i couldn't figure out what to do. There's no way to play the game and not be frustrated at least more than one time while playing it.
So anyway, if you wanna play a game like this just know what you're getting into. Because you're just going to be lost and confused for hours on end at times. before figuring out what to do next. It's great however.
It's the most cryptic game on nes i've played. I haven't played that many though like in this genre though. It's pretty difficult. At one point in the game you will have to start the whole game over, just to figure out what to do and where you've been at.

This is my favorite NES game of all time and one of the first I owned. Yes, it’s a bit cryptic, but that was part of the fun back then. It took me years of playing it on and off to beat it, but I’m so proud that I completed it on my own with no help whatsoever. Nowadays, we have things like GameFaqs to bail us out, I’m so glad I completed this one before that was a thing.

It was par for the course back then. They would sell strategy guides and have tip-lines and, of course, any kid who had an NES back then just had to have a subscription to Nintendo Power or a friend with one. Personally, I think the first Legend of Zelda was even more cryptic. Good luck getting through that game without a guide (or without a headache) if you don't already know most of the secrets through cultural osmosis. And there were far, far worse games than that. I don't want to say it was a cynical ploy to make games deliberately obtuse in order to rake in money... but it was a cynical ploy to make games deliberately obtuse to rake in money. But there was also a joy of discovery in figuring out the riddles of a game and bashing your head against every single pixel to find a secret nobody else knew about. The closest and best known modern version of this is Dark Souls and Bloodborne but they were developed knowing the internet was a thing, so it was expected that people would communicate with each other about what they'd found. They even made it a mechanic so you could scribble down notes on the ground that other players could read.

Actually i should correct myself, what happened is i just got stuck on one easy part in the game. That for some reason i couldn't figure out what to for about 15 hours of playtime. So therefore nothing in this game is cryptic at least that i know of yet, but i aint done. I couldn't figure out that you have to jump on the pink square.
