Love The Terminator, but the visual effects show their age and budget.
But hey, they could be worse.
I don't really mind dated 80s effects. They retain a certain charm.

The final construction building action sequence in The Dark Knight is not as effective as the rest of the movie (creatively or cinematically). The Dark Knight felt like a movie without a proper final act to me.

The Artist--The "Weinstein Company" logo at the beginning of the movie. No explanation necessary.
42nd Street--Okay, it's supposed to be a Cinderella story, and some of the musical numbers do require a suspension of disbelief. But this is during the Depression and hundreds of people's jobs are on the line, and this is the director's last shot at a success, so of course he should play it safe and insist that Ginger Rogers take over for the injured star--not just because she's paid her dues and deserves it, but because she's the best choice to ensure the play's success--she's probably more talented and more charismatic than the original star. Even she knows this--it has nothing to do with ego, but with her ability. If she's going to throw it off to some eager up-and-comer, at least pick someone who doesn't dance like a guy in a horse costume and sings off-key.

I never really bought why the 9-1-1 operator didn’t believe John McClane when he first radioed them from Nakatomi and reported on what was going on there.

Another problem with Die Hard is the cops (not including Powell) and FBI are portrayed as idiots.

In “Gladiator”... Maximus goes from Germany to Spain to get home to try and save his family.
What desert is he crossing? That scene was thrown in there just to make it look cool in cinematography.

The last 10 minutes of The Magnificent Ambersons. The bullshit happy ending that was tacked on without Orson Welles's approval, or even knowledge of it being done.

The background scenes in Braveheart sometimes show halfhearted, obviously fake, non choreographed actors boringly smacking wooden swords together. It takes me right out.

The Shining I never really cared for Halloran being killed off. I wish Kubrick had just had Jack attack him maybe but he survives like his counterpart in the book. ITA with this. It just felt cheap.

The first thing that comes to mind is incongruous soundtracks. I love the Al Pacino legal movie .....and Justice For All but the soundtracks always stinks for me and is wildly inappropriate for some the scenes.
The same thoughts go with The 0wl and The Pussycat, the brilliant comedy with Barbra Streisand and George Segal at top of their game.....some of the cacophonously, annoying soundtrack stinks.
And to a slightly lesser degree Chariots of Fire, a quite nice movie. I have always said that I would crawl through broken glass in vomit to quietly buy Vangelis a pint and say Thank You for his work and then slink off so as not to bother him......but his electronic incidental music set to 1920s Paris is for me jarringly incompatible ....despite the main theme which is fab.
Not overly important in the scheme of things.....and we can't all be a Morricone, or a Dinnagio or a John Barry etc...but ooooh if could just edit/change those examples................
