Must have missed the scripture where Jesus promised the end of all wicked people. It's merely humour, I doubt it's meant to be taken too seriously.

Must have missed the scripture where Jesus promised the end of all wicked people. A sort of a roundabout indirect promise, I guess. Revelation 19:11-21 is generally accepted by Christians as REFERRING TO Jesus. (Kings of Kings dealing it out to the wicked.) And if Bible is God's word, then the promise made in Jesus' behalf in that passage would, logically, be made with Jesus' approval. So, if you approve of somebody making a promise on your behalf, it's fair to say that you have made the promise.

Right, but unless someone is saying it's the end times and Jesus has already come again we wouldn't expect it would be done already. I know I'm being literal and a killjoy. Also trying hard not to say something about Republican Jesus.

LOL so I will. All I want to say is Jesus never cared about Earthly politics when He walked the Earth.

Did it ever occur to you that if he had, that he might not have been crucified? ...or are you one of those that believe that crucifixion and resurrection was what his loving father had instore for him not matter what?

I imagine if He was worried about being crucified He would have been more worried about Earthly politics. I don't think He cared He had some worried He'd lead a revolution against Rome and others who would be angered when it wasn't going to happen. As for the last question, yes. That is what a Christian believes.

I thought the "Hide the eggs" one was humorous. The rest were painfully unfunny.

I don't get the one about the stuttering Jesus. Where he says 'Did I stutter'? It's a take on that trope where (often men ) say to their partners, fetch me food and shut up and they complain and the partner says did I stutter, they did quite a good one on the take on the orville

The Robot's apology is, "I'm sorry that you're upset". This reminds me of another apology someone posted a year ago.

No? You of all people. I am thinking 'jizz'! I still don't get it, Goz. He was a great teacher even if his followers distorted his message after the fact. It would be a very different world if Jesus had never existed.
Would we be having gladiators fighting lions in Madison Square Gardens right now if Christianity had never become the dominant religion? "Would we be having gladiators fighting lions in Madison Square Gardens right now if Christianity had never become the dominant religion?" Not quite the same, but we do have highly publicized and watched MMA matches and NFL games which I guess are more less modern "gladiator games". We also have plenty of violent video games and movies as a replacement.

Must have missed the scripture where Jesus promised the end of all wicked people. I can help....John 1:29 says, “Behold!, The Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world” – When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming towards Him.
Of course, technically this is John the Baptist speaking, not Jesus. So...I guess we can take it with a grain of salt.
