Tony Parker's clearly well past his most effective days, and now it's not even clear that he can come back and be effective after a serious injury that will necessitate a very long and difficult rehabilitation period.
Meanwhile, Chris Paul needs to get the hell away from a team that thinks Raymond Felton, Jamal Crawford and a decrepit Paul Pierce are a legitimate bench, not to mention a starting lineup that -- when Griffin inevitably gets injured -- features the "talents" of Luc-Richard Mbah a Moute, D'Andre Jordan, and Daddy's Boy Austin Rivers.
Seriously, it's a miracle that Paul was able to average 10 assists per game in the first round when 3/4 of the other guys in the starting lineup cannot score, and the other guy (Redick) was in a pathetic shooting slump.
So Chris Paul has to go. He's 32. It's now or never for him to join a winning team with a winning culture.
At the same time, the Spurs really need a legitimate point guard. Tony Parker is a future Hall of Famer and has done a lot for the Spurs organization, but he's no longer an effective starting PG on a team of the Spurs' caliber. The Spurs could seriously use an upgrade, a real playmaker, and Chris Paul will be looking to join a winning team -- it's a good match.
Paul will thrive in Popovich's system, which values fundamentals, hard work, effort, and team basketball.

Paul has a fn worth ethic, a massive work ethic. Yea, Spurs could use him, but idk if CP3 would do it. LAC needs to change something, and imho, CP3 is the one thing THEY CANT LOSE.
JJ/Blake, etc, all can go, CP3 imho is their star.
