The movie is good and Robin Williams deserved an Oscar nomination. He is brilliant in it.
It brings you into the mind of a disturbed and lonely man as convincingly as any movie I have seen.

Well what about Taxi Driver? I didn't say the movie is as good as any movie about a disturbed man, but One Hour Photo makes you feel what it is like to be inside the main character's head just as well as Taxi Driver imo. The story is just nowhere near as good.

A fine, eerie performance from Williams in a good film (7/10). The cold, austere art design is intended to convey a bleak, corporate workplace and the main character's inner self but it's overdone and detracts from the appeal of the film. ![](https://bilder.fernsehserien.de/epg/492/49296f1fde24bbb7fa66d9780c8f7659b1346197_b.jpg)

I really like it. It's intense and engaging and Robin Williams gives what is possibly his best performance.

It captures a feeling of frightening isolation and detachment and I think that mirrors perfectly the inner world of the main character. The aesthetic is what makes the movie as compelling as it is, along with Robin Williams's great performance. He makes us scared of him and sympathetic towards him at the same time. The actual story is a bit thin and cliche and that is what holds the movie back from being great imo. 7.5/10

I saw it once. I liked it. Williams makes it worth watching.

Pretty cool role for Robin Williams to play and I think it's the best of those psycho roles he did later in his career. The movie itself though...I don't know for some reason it never quite lives up to its potential for me. It's definitely worth seeing though for Williams's performance if nothing else. it feels like its missing a few scenes to tie the proceedings.

It's a fine viewing, yet as a film proper I'm not praising it too too much.

8/10
I agree with others that the story is a bit thin, but Robin Williams is so good that it carries the film to a higher score for me.
An incredible performance, made even more eerie as we've come to understand that Robin Williams obviously had his own demons that he was dealing with in his life.
