I am only a fan of Furious 7, because I see it as self-parody.
The original is an okay rip-off of Point Break.

Fast Five (7/10) Furious 7 (7/10) Fast & Furious 6 (7/10) The Fate of the Furious (7/10) The Fast and the Furious (6/10) The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (6/10) Fast & Furious (6/10) 2 Fast 2 Furious (6/10)
The first installment was okay, but nobody really watches the movie for the plot but just for the street racing. The sequel and Tokyo Drift were not as good, but Justin Lin's direction in the latter was commendable and unlike some of the other installments, the focus was actually about racing. I thought Fast & Furious (2009) was a rehash, but the series became surprisingly good with Fast Five. From there, the films became more ridiculous with every other installment with its gravity-defying stunts, and formulaic with the cracking bottles of Corona and speeches about family.

If I want to see Vin Diesel give a wooden performance in an action film that goes on about the value of "family", I'll watch the Guardians film.

Well, they can be annoying & yet they're true to themselves I suppose. I'd label them Transformers Lite.

Guess Im the biggest fan of these films here. I'm a huge fan of the original, I saw it several times at the theater. I'd give it a 10/10 as well. I love the atmosphere and the sense of "family". The film was lit nicely too. I think my wife and I quote that film all the time randomly. Funny thing is I never realized until fairly recently that Brian's "boss" is Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs. Outside of the stylized 1/4 mile racing its probably one of the only semi realistic ones. Tokyo Drift was pretty close in that regard as well. I actually like the "hick" main actor from TD. Han was a good character as well. The rest of them I'd give a 7/10 or so outside of the last one, probably a 5/10, Theron was miscast in my opinion and the submarine was just way too over the top (even more than the tank, cars dragging safes, and the jumbo jet sequence). Paul Walker was missed as well.

Terrible acting; crap scripts; laughable, silly action (...when it's not supposed to be).
The best films of the series are junk. The worst -- most of 'em -- are crap.
Me not like.
