Directed by Roger Corman. The aerial sequences are surprisingly good but the rest of the movie is a wash.

Agreed. Also, John Phillip Law is way too tall to play von Richtofen (who was like 5'6" or thereabouts).

I bought the bluray awhile back. The aerial shots are very well done but yeah the drama on the ground was flat. I ended up selling it on eBay. One viewing was enough for me. It is worth a view for aviation and Ww1 buffs.

I like a great deal of Roger Corman's work as director but I'm not into this movie. There's flashes of the engineer though.

I came damn close to getting this from Amazon Prime the other day. Was put off by the poor historical accuracy but I was going to come back to it another day
