Watching it for the first time in like 20 yrs...really surprised how much I’m enjoying it. It holds up! The animation especially looks fantastic. The comedic moments are hitting. I just now put it together that the dogs name is Charles BARKley...lol.

Not a great movie, but I'm sure it'll look like fucking Casablanca compared to the new one.

It's a childhood classic for me as well that works as a guilty pleasure as an adult. Some aspects of the film make it appear too much of an extended commercial, but I take it for what it is. It has Looney Tunes, Michael Jordan, basketball, and a hit soundtrack.

I thought it was junk then and I think it's junk now.
However, it did grace the world with two good things. This song:
And this game (Charles Barkley: Shut Up and Jam Gaiden) which also used that song and may or may not be incredibly offensive at times but also hilarious:

It’s fine for what it is, but some of the humor doesn’t really feel like classic Looney Tunes. It’s interesting that it’s become such a fondly remembered representation of the 1990s, when it wasn’t a massive hit at the box office. It did fine, but it actually made less money domestically than Star Trek: First Contact.

Unfortunately that film is mostly forgotten while everyone still gets a hard-on over Space Jam.

It was a popular film when I was in middle school. It's a decent Looney Tunes film although it's a glorified ad for Jordan and whatever products he shilled for at the time. Jordan is a block of wood as far as acting goes, but he's watchable.

Sure Wayne Knight and Bill Murray outshine him but comparing him to god awful Larry Bird...yeah!

Everyone makes fun of Jordan’s acting, but man, when you look at the clips of LeBron in Space Jam 2, he looks like Daniel Day-Lewis.
