Shakedown was actually called Blue-jean Cop where I live (not a great movie but still): Yeah, I have two norwegian/scandinavian DVD copies of this absolute fun filled buddy cop/b-movie, which might not be "great" as you said, but it still moves damn fast, love the chemistry between Weller and Elliott, and that final climax is such a riot to behold. I always liked the Blue Jean Cop title, instead of Shakedown, which sounds more "dull/forgettable".

When it comes top films trying to cash in on the whole buddy-cop craze in the 80s, I guess Samurai Cop (1991) has to be included. Such a hilarious and unforgettable adventure, that just gets funnier, of each visit:
