No one is cancelling films. Birth of a Nation has not & will not ever be fully discarded. As for Oscar winners, I came to grips years ago now - the awards are purely in the moment. Unless we start nominating & awarding what movies/categories Will Look Best On Paper 5+ Years From Now award, then keep calm & chill on. I always neglect to mention, an Oscar BP nomination sans trophy is nearly sexier for a film's legacy than actually winning. An Oscar BP win for better or worse is inescapable for a film's criticism on all levels. Best pic nominees some of my personal favs - The Thin Red Line, The Insider, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Pulp Fiction... they're free to roam the cinematic universe unhinged for eternity!

I'm sorry that I phrased the thread the way I did. The article just really pissed me off so I got a little carried away with exaggerating what it was actually saying.

The actual title of the article, that isn't what the title of this thread implies. The Shape of Water? Chicago? Argo?

Oh yes that movie from three years ago hasn't stood the test of time. I feel more brain dead just from having looked at this.
