I've been wanting to get back into reading and I was curious if there are any hidden gems out there in the action/adventure genre you guys would recommend?
The James Bond books (saw it in another thread) are the only ones I can think of - but I haven't read any of those.
I've also heard of a series with the title character being Ethan Gage...not sure if those are any good, but they sound fun.
Any recommendation is appreciated!

the Jack Reacher books are fun and a very easy formulaic read.

Ethan Gage is my avatar. I definitely recommend them. It's pretty much like Indiana Jones-lite stuff that takes place in the Napoleonic era. They're a lot of fun to read.

The way that Matthew Reilly writes action in his books is awesome.

The Nina Wilde/Eddie Chase series by Andy McDermott is pretty good too. The slap-slap-kiss romance is dreck but the action and humor compensates for it.
