sostie still has a point though. but they still aren't making films people love outright at all, no ones going to re-evaluate Ma Rainey, Mank, or Chicago years from now, and the fact they don't have staying power is problematic. You mean the majority. Also, can you see the future? The only reason Nomadland will have staying power is because it won Best Picture. Mank and Chicago 7 are better than Nomadland imo. The former have more staying power than Nomadland as far as I'm concerned.

Maybe I am just confusing my own admiration for the movie with what the majority thinks. It is one of the best movies of the past decade imo and one of the most memorable too. your also mixing subjectivity and objectivity together, you might feel the way, doesn't mean others do and I could do a long analysis about the others relevance.
