As much as I despise social media, I’m willing to assume that people would’ve been less outraged if they hadn’t saved the acting award for last, just so they could milk their tribute to Boseman. Probably a little less outraged. I mean they literally ended it very abruptly once Hopkins won, so they were definitely not really expecting it.

I'd need to read all the social media comments to see what they are specifically complaining about, but there are headlines saying "Chadewick Boseman snubbed" and stuff like that.
