Saw, this is kind of a comfort franchise for me, and I like them all with the exception of the most recent reboot "Jigsaw". The traps are fun, the stories are intricate if you're invested enough to pay attention to the timeline from entry to entry, and at heart they're always character studies and are horror movies with something to say about culture and humanity. The franchise has great and instantly recognizable iconography, which I feel is often lacking from horror films anymore, and I love the music Charlie Clouser created for the series. While I like a few of the Fast & Furious movies, specifically the first, fifth and sixth its in my opinion a bloated, try-hard franchise filled with random things happening. While Saw evolved over time, it always stayed true to what the original was, a movie about people trapped in a location playing Jigsaw's game. The Fast franchise went from a cool, gritty, low stakes car chase/caper film, to something more akin to the Avengers. It's nearly impossible to believe that the later Fast films even take place in the same movie universe as the first two movies. Also, I just think it's tacky that they continued this franchise after Paul Walkers death. The Avengers can be cool, gritty and low stakes that's my Marvel constantly experiments. I agree that the Fast and Furious has changed but the Saw films relies on stupid everyday idiots falling into traps and getting killed. You might as well film idiots encroaching on grizzly bear territory getting killed on YouTube and slap a saw film title on it with any number more than two and call it a day. The film you're describing is called Grizzly Man. Your response is really weird.

Okay, let me simplify it for idiots: the saw films are lowbrow horror movies that rely on human bait to entertain idiots, is that clear enough for you? Maybe the Fast and Furious movies are more your speed after all.

I have seen the first SAW but none of the Fast and Furious films.
I guess it has the edge for that.
I think the idea could have been better executed. The puppet was creepy--the body in the room--but they could have made that more of an amazing surprise than it was.
The most horrific thing I thought was the guy sticking his hand in that septic tank.

You're entire reason for engaging me was to tell me how wrong I am for thinking Saw is better than Fast & Furious, and you're fast degradation into madness led you to the thesis that I'm such an idiot to like Saw that I might as well like Fast & Furious, implying FF is more low brow than Saw after all.

My thinking that you're a colossal kaiju sized idiot came from you not understanding my reply because it was too long for you so I simplified my next reply to you, so that's why I think you're an idiot. I never said I liked or disliked the Fast and Furious films on this thread anyway, all I said is the Saw films are basic gotcha horror films to woo gore lovers, that's it.

We've both continued responding to each other in this pointless bicker fest so obviously neither of us are bored.
