Which incredibly long-running series of movies is better in your opinion?

Really don't care much for either franchise but I still probably go with F&F.

Fast and Furious. I kind of liked Saw, didn't hate Saw 3 and thought Saw 6 was fun. All the rest were garbage. I had fun watching 3, 5,6 and 7 of the Fast and Furious franchise. 8 wasn't awful and the first was decent when it came out but hasn't aged well. Only 2 and 4 were horrible.

F&F is utter dreck... Garbage.
Never bothered with the SAW films.

Saw films always came up with a new set of death machines and contraptions designed for torture in every sequel and it doesn't bore unlike the highly overrated F&F, which is just a generic adrenaline-fueled action series built around expensive cars.

Neither are particular great.
Saw started great and went downhill after the first film
F&F starts OK and gets so preposterous it's entertaining. It's also helped by the addition of cast members that are worth watching more than the core cast - Statham , The Rock, Mirren, Kurt Russell
Both have dull central characters that seem to spend a lot of time spouting a load of dull crap - Dominic Toretto and Jigsaw.
FF gets my vote

Saw, this is kind of a comfort franchise for me, and I like them all with the exception of the most recent reboot "Jigsaw". The traps are fun, the stories are intricate if you're invested enough to pay attention to the timeline from entry to entry, and at heart they're always character studies and are horror movies with something to say about culture and humanity. The franchise has great and instantly recognizable iconography, which I feel is often lacking from horror films anymore, and I love the music Charlie Clouser created for the series. While I like a few of the Fast & Furious movies, specifically the first, fifth and sixth its in my opinion a bloated, try-hard franchise filled with random things happening. While Saw evolved over time, it always stayed true to what the original was, a movie about people trapped in a location playing Jigsaw's game. The Fast franchise went from a cool, gritty, low stakes car chase/caper film, to something more akin to the Avengers. It's nearly impossible to believe that the later Fast films even take place in the same movie universe as the first two movies. Also, I just think it's tacky that they continued this franchise after Paul Walkers death.

I agree that the Fast and Furious has changed but the Saw films relies on stupid everyday idiots falling into traps and getting killed. You might as well film idiots encroaching on grizzly bear territory getting killed on YouTube and slap a saw film title on it with any number more than two and call it a day.

Haven't seen any of them. Watching a Saw movie would be very meta, seems like it would be torture to sit through.

F&F.
Never seen a Saw film, not my idea of a good time. F&F is definitely not high art or even great films with riveting performances but they are fun escapist films just to forget about ones problems for a couple of hours. I love cars too so that helps.
