the 5th Fast and Furious movie but the biggest turning point when it came to the franchise's success. It was the first film in the franchise to get positive reviews from critics and ended up massively outgrossing the previous films worldwide and leading to continued increases for the next two movies. it also gave a career resurrection to The Rock who got introduced in this one. I hadn't seen any of the previous Fast and Furious movies before this but was intrigued not just by the positive reviews but also the promise of a fight scene between The Rock and Vin Diesel which was probably the equivalent of seeing a fight scene between Schwarzenegger and Stallone in the 90s. I ended up loving it for its excellent blend of heist movie and awesome car stunts and retroactively watched the other installments. Even now, I still say Fast Five is the best installment in the series.

Far and away it's the best installment. It's so much fun and the cast is great.

Most seem to say its the best of the series. I like it but its actually one of my lesser favorites. I would say 6 out of the 8.

I still enjoy the first one the best as it was actually still more focused on street racing but it’s a good one. The Rio setting is nice and I’ve always enjoyed Joaquim de Almeida.

Definitely one of, if not THE best, installment of the series. Ironic that it's successor is one of, if not, THE worst.
