I don't remember much about the original Mortal Kombat besides two delightfully cheesy things:
The theme music/song
and Christopher Lambert as Raiden.
I recall virtually nothing about its sequel, except that memorably miscast James Remar, seemingly under chemically-induced, somnambulant bliss that rendered him creepily New-Agey, was now Raiden. Far, far away from his brutal Ganz in 48 Hrs.
