Probably $20.
Twice I found iPads. The first time, I was afraid that if I returned it to Customer Service someone there might "expropriate" it instead of keeping it in their Lost and Found, so I figured it would be safer if I tried to locate the owner by myself - but the iPad was password-locked, so that was not an option, and I just dropped it off at Customer Service (it was in a movie theatre).
The second time, it was not locked, so I figured I would keep it, send an e-mail to the owner and arrange for a meeting to hand it back. But as I was leaving the place I saw a man coming back looking like he had lost something important, so I showed the iPad to him and asked "is this what you are looking for?".

$20 right outside a convenience store. 20 dollars (or about 200 hundre norske kroner/seddel) is probably around where it was, back in summer of 1997, when I lost my keys down a few steps, outside of a junkfood/kiosk, after school. I had none or very little money with me, there and then. So when I got downstairs, and found my keys, and suddenly saw the money, just lying there. Yeah, finnern er vinnern, or finders keepers, for sure. No regrets, as you got a lot of candy, for that kind of money, at least back then. It seems like some kind of a new "trend" these days, at least in Norway. Have been several stories lately, of young kids, all of sudden finding or "stumbling" upon large sums of money in bags or craters, just lying around in some local forest. I think one of the stories, a few weeks back, featured some money, that were from the 50s or 60s, but worth a shitload of money today. Hopefully the kids who found it, got their reward.

Would a private checkbook found at a hotel business center be considered? Endless possibilities if I hadn't turn it to the front desk.
