1Peter 2:1-3 2 1-3 So clean house! Make a clean sweep of malice and pretense, envy and hurtful talk. You’ve had a taste of God. Now, like infants at the breast, drink deep of God’s pure kindness. Then you’ll grow up mature and whole in God.

The catholics are gatekeeping shit heads who would prefer to see to the letter of the law and let a child suffer than do what Jesus would want them to do.

Spot on, except you can add nearly all all Priests, and most Bishops in the reform camp. A small cabal of US 'catholics' who have never even met him condemn my Bishop as a heretic in online abuse, because we openly support LGBT Catholics in our Diocese. I've had lengthy conversations with myself about whether I should should walk away from the Catholic Church over certain things. I have sat down a few times with my Priest and discussed it... You know what, the Catholic Church has constantly adapted through time, and to local social mores... Ultimately I have decided to stay a part of the Catholic Church and be the change I want to see, rather than abandon it to what I consider unchristian conservatives.

It must be so concerning that Catholics like you are good people and have the moral values that the Christian CHurch in general and Catholic Church in particular supposedly espouse...however that is very far from what is actually happening in those institutions.

The Catholic Church is not here to make atheists happy. We mind our own concerns.
