Well they can certainly afford it, and Prime needs more movies that aren't total shit, so this is a good move for them. But new content is king. Amazon needs to step up their original content game. We keep hearing about LOTR. Okay great that will be interesting for like a week. They still haven't struck original content gold. What they really need is a Game of Thrones or Stranger Things.

Interesting, maybe Bezos would treat some of their non-Bond properties with more respect, like the John Wayne Roadshow version of the "Alamo" which has languished for years.

Don't exactly know what this means. If you have Prime, you automatically get a free 30 day trial to MGM. Seems this was in the works for a while.
