Watched King Kong just last night. I thought he did a good job in that. Very different kind of role for him, and I thought his version was better than Jack Black's in 2005.

RIP. He was great in the 80s as either the loyal best friend or the guy who loses the girl to the romantic lead. Wonderfully droll, understated actor.

Q: Is it true that an accident in your nuclear plant could stimulate seismic activity in the San Andreas Fault and destroy most of southern California?
A: I think you'd have to define "destroy".

Sad to hear about Charles Grodin. I didn't know he was 86. I enjoyed him in Clifford and all the other movies I've seen him appear in. I don't know if SNL will honor him this weekend given his infamous hosting stint.

A gifted comic actor. His deadpan performance in The Heartbreak Kid may be his best movie work, but I have a soft spot for him wooing Miss Piggy in The Great Muppet Caper, and he was memorable in Heaven Can Wait, Real Life and Midnight Run. R.I.P.

He was great in Midnight Run, a perfect sidekick for De Niro. But he was also superb in The Heartbreak Kid (1972), definitely an underrated performance.

His scenes with Eddie Albert in The Heartbreak Kid are great. Both are in top form.

Great comic actor. Always left an impression no matter how big, or small his role. R.I.P.
