Sadly the last film he was in is An Imperfect Murder. He deserved better.

The first one, that I could think of, when remembering Charles Grodin last night, has to be the classic buddy-cop action comedy, Midnight Run (1988). Loved the great chemistry between De Niro and him, where there was a lot of "nagging" going on, but never ended up becoming too vulgar and nasty, and always contained a certain warm and sweet charm of respect and understanding between the two main leads, which at times reminded me of another great late 80s road trip classic, in Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
