Cheadle was miscast as Rhodes.
They should have retained Howard.

I've gotten used to Don Cheadle but I did prefer Terence Howard.

I agree. Cheadle is ok, but I heard Terrence was hard to work with too.

Personally I prefer Cheadle. Maybe its because I just like him better as an actor.

Funny he had much better Chemistry with Downey in Irion man and turns out they hate each other IRL.

They were each best suited for the films they were in. Like Harris & Gambon for Dumbledore.
Howard was a great 1-1 peer in Iron Man, yet Cheadle was probably the better Rhodey for the ensemble stuff with the Avengers.

He did have a bit more personality. Cheadle's Rhodey gets lost in the shuffle with all the other characters, and I don't think anyone actually cared when he threw his back out for a couple of days in Civil War. Howard would probably have stood out more.

Personally I prefer Cheadle. Maybe its because I just like him better as an actor. I prefer Cheadle overall as an actor, but I do feel Howard did a little more with the character. It's weird to imagine anyone other than Cheadle at this point.

I also preferred Howard in the role, though I've seen him in precious little else. The fact that he starred in the only good standalone Iron Man movie (not counting the Avengers flicks or the crossover movies).
I didn't mind Cheadle though.

He's also a bit if a weirdo with a history of assaulting people (both men and women). It's probably better that they let him go. |

Howard is the "Jack Lord as Felix Leiter" of the MCU.
He wanted too much money to reprise his role, so the producers showed him the door.
