Production is taking place in Greece? Interesting. Maybe this one will pay tribute to those Hercule Poirot movies from the '70s and '80s that also served as travelogue films or The Last of Sheila.

Netflix: "How many stars do you need?"
Rian Johnson: "Yes."

Netflix: "How many stars do you need?" Rian Johnson: "Yes." Well that's not an answer to what Netflix is asking.

Netflix: "How many stars do you need?" Rian Johnson: "Yes." Well that's not an answer to what Netflix is asking. It's an Internet joke I constantly see in case you were wondering. I'm referencing Rian Johnson's carte blanche on these sequels. I was always curious why Netflix is paying $450 million for two sequels to Knives Out, but seeing these high-profile actors signing for them explains why.

Edward Norton and Kate Hudson aren't worth $450 million even if $450 million is divided by 10 for each of them. Dave Bautista has Marvel privilege so I understand him costing a lot.

Netflix is paying that much for two sequels and with the salaries included. Since these sequels are direct-to-streaming, the actors are paid upfront. I'm pretty sure there are also other factors like location shooting that would escalate the production cost.
