Found out just now that this is a thing. William Petersen and Jorja Fox will return as the original characters Gil Grissom and Sarah Sidle.
I watched CSI regularly when it was on - the original one in Las Vegas, not Miami and NY, which I abandoned long before the end. It was good, but never once in the six years since it went off the air (I had to look it up - it feels like much longer) did I ever think "I wish they would bring it back".
Anyway, if it is available to me, I will watch the first few episodes at least. I certainly won't subscribe to any new service just so that I can watch it.

I have watched every episode of the original CSI and 5 seasons of CSI New York, Only seen bits and pieces of CSI Miami.
I liked the original CSI so i will check this revival out, but i have to admit that i don`t think the show needs a revival. I mean it was on for 15 years and it only ended 6 years ago.
Frankly if they want to make a new CSI show i rather see it be a new show with new characters like CSI Boston or CSI Seattle or something.

It’s gonna air on regular CBS, so you shouldn’t have to pay any additional fees to watch it.
I watched the occasional episode when it was on. Was never a big fan of it. I’m kinda curious though how they’ll bring it back, so I plan on giving the pilot a watch.

First episode aired yesterday. Unfortunately I wasn't aware of it, so I missed it. I will try to catch it online.
Has anyone watched it, and if so, how was it?

I'm very curious. CSI was one of my favorite shows, and I've been rewatching it over the past year. Hopefully it's not like the spinoffs. Even the original made the CSI's into super cops instead of lab rats, especially after Grissom left. Unfortunately I cut the cord and don't have an antenna/DVR so the only way I can watch would be sub to Paramount+, which I'm not going to do.

I've been rewatching repeats of "CSI Miami" on Pluto TV... I've watched the other shows here and there. But always liked "Miami". I generally like these kind of shows.
My parents have been watching the "N.C.I.S." shows foreverrr... I've seen a ton of episodes.

Another TV franchise I somehow missed. Just like Stargate and NCIS.

I watched it a lot while it was on, not so much the two spin-offs. William Peterson's character was my favorite, and I have thought about buying the DVD set to binge watch during the winter. I will need a new TV and antenna on the roof - something to think about.

I have watched the three or four episodes that aired so far. It's more of the same really, only with (mostly) new characters. There is the crime of the week and then there is an ongoing story arc. None of the new characters seems particularly interesting to me so far.
Only a few episodes in and the writers have already over-used the old plot device of the type of dirt/pollen/insect that only exists in a very specific location and that breaks the case. In the original CSI that used to annoy me at first, and then I just started laughing at how absurd it was.
Anyway, I can't recommend it enthusiastically, but if you liked the old CSI chances are you'll find this one entertaining as well.
