This is something I saw years ago, when I was very young. So I would say 1960's or before. It dealt with a newspaper office and I don't remember if it was physically taken over, or if some mobster type character was threatening the owners. But they responded to him by showing him the headline they would print in the next edition. It was a brief statement or headline and ended in "O.K." The mobster accepted it and let it be printed. However, the type had to be set in backward to print the paper, so when the headline came out, it started with "K.O." and apparently said exactly the opposite of what the mobster wanted. But it was too late, as the edition was being passed out all over the place by then. I'm not even sure if it was a modern newspaper office, or just some old-fashion Western town with a small printing press. I've been dying to find out for years what the headline was that read the opposite backwards of what it said forward.
I saw it on TV, but it could have been an old movie. For years, I thought it was an episode of GALLEGHER, a brief mini-series of sorts on WALT DISNEY'S WONDERFUL WORLD OF COLOR about a boy who longed to be a reporter. When I posted this somewhere else, someone showed me where I could find the episodes on YouTube. There was one where the paper was taken over - briefly - but no headline was ever printed. They just argued over printing a possible retraction. Maybe it was something else from the DISNEY show, but not necessarily. I watched it on a black and white set, so I can't even tell you if it was in B&W or color. That's all I have on it. If anyone recognizes it, I'll be very grateful.
