I came across this film when looking for underrated mystery/whodunnit type of films. It's a comedy about a group of Americans who end up in Monte Carlo and become involved in a murder case.
Apparently it's the remake of an older Italian film, and I can only assume that something must've been lost in translation, because the writing is so lousy that you have to wonder why any of the actors signed up for this.
Joh Candy is okay and George Hamilton makes the most of his part, but the rest of the cast are just plain annoying. Jim Belushi's horrible over-acting is almost unbearable (and I usually like the guy).
It has some bizzarre situations which were probably meant to be funny, but are just weird and make very little sense.

I agree with you. I too thought it was a lousy product, Belushi especially.
