Ah, good 'ol Nicolas Cage. The man is a national treasure. Hes an odd mix of a good actor and a crazy actor. But damn it I like the guy. We share the same first name. So what are your favorite and least favorite films with Mr. Cage?
My Best 10:
1. Trapped in Paradise - Im probably alone here but I really enjoy this film. Its a really funny, good spirited Christmas film.
2. Con Air - Damn fun action film. Over the top and highly entertaining.
3. Leaving Las Vegas - A film that is dark, sad but oddly beautiful. Cage shows real acting chops here.
4. Face/Off - Now this is a 90s action film and its a fun one.
5. Vengeance: A Love Story - I like this one. Its one of those modern lesser know Cage films. Its like a Nicolas Cage Death Wish film. It worked for me.
6. Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans - This film mixes the good and the craziness of Nicolas Cage. And it works. In fact I like this more than the Harvey Keitel film.
7. National Treasure - Fun film.
8. 8MM - A really dark thriller. I like it because it does not play safe.
9. Stolen - This one is not well liked and I admit it has Flaws but as a basic heist film its pretty entertaining.
10. The Rock - I never loved this one but its a good fun action film.
10 Worst:
10. Knowing - This was a real mixed bag with people. Some loved it others really hated it. Personally I just thought it was forgettable.
9. Drive Angry - Some like this one and thats cool but I just thought it was dumb.
8. 211 - Even Cage spoke out on how disappointing this one was. Its not awful its just poorly made and badly directed.
7. The Runner - A film about the BP oil spill that has nothing interesting to say. Boring.
6. Running with the Devil - Very forgettable drug running film.
5. The Family Man - Really bland.
4. The Wicker Man - Its terrible but I admit the I get a kick out of the dumb ending. "Not the Bees!!!!"
3. Between Worlds - This movies is nuts but not in a good way. Its as dumb as a film can get. Its like a dumb fantasy mixed with soft core porn.
2. Mom and Dad - I did not enjoy this film at all. I just thought this was really dumb and a total waste of time.
1. Left Behind - I HATE THIS MOVIE! It really pissed me off. Cage looks just out of it and very much like he does not want to be there and I cant blame him. He just needed quick money. He got like 4 million for this film yet I still feel bad for him here.
