THANK GOODNESS!!! This one needs a remake. Usually a fan of Carpenter, but his “adaption” was crap. The car being born bad instead of possessed ummm what? The scariest parts of the book were cut. I don’t know much about Fuller, but I assume since he did Hannibal he knows what he’s doing.

I like Christine the book and movie...I welcome a new version but worry they’ll change the car to an 87 Buick or something.

Most people I know is who’ve read the book agreed that the movie was shit. If I look at the movie as just a horror movie that has no connection to the book it’s fine. I’m hoping Fuller will actually treat it he book with respect, but I won’t lie and say I’m not a little worried that he’s not gonna modernize this some how. Christine NEEDS to take place in the same time period as the book.

Are you saying that in a good way? Yeah, I loved Hannibal. Yeah, but Blumhouse is hit or miss. I think they’ve had more hits than misses lately though.

We'll just see. The Carpenter version is hard to beat.

Christine NEEDS to take place in the same time period as the book. Saw the movie first...and I’m a big fan of Carpenters films, especially around that time. Read the book years later and really loved it. Again I’d be fine with a remake or a new adaptation...but I would definitely worry they’d try to modernize it. The biggest thing is not changing the car. You gotta keep that.

I don’t know much about Fuller, but I assume since he did Hannibal he knows what he’s doing. I didn't think the movie was all that bad, but I agree some good parts of the book were left out. And yes, the car being born bad was a tad hokey.
