considered one of Pixar's lesser movies but I've always liked him and even prefer it to some of the more acclaimed films

I've always liked it even if it's not technically a great film.

Still to this day, I think it has a uniquely weird premise: a world of automobiles. How are they born or manufactured? Regardless, the animation is fantastic and it's easy to take for granted the technical achievements of creating metallic surfaces and reflections of the cars. The voice cast was great especially Paul Newman as Doc Hudson. The film's weakest link was the story that we've seen several times before and since with the ambition-driven protagonist learning to enjoy the simple things in life. Still, it's a great message.

It's not one of my favorites from Pixar, but I've always enjoyed it.
