I don't think any particular genre is superior than the others. Each have their own strengths and weaknesses.

I voted "no westerns are not the best." That said, I do love “The Wild Wild West” TV Series. However, that's because it's not a conventional western. |

I don't have a genre I think is better than all others but I am a huge fan of westerns. My Pop loved them and I spent many treasured hours watching them with him. Also there are just as many well written brilliantly acted westerns as there are movies in any genre. Just because a movie is fun and entertaining doesn't mean it's not a quality film.
