I actually really liked this one when I saw it in theaters, I believe this movie really laid the ground work for what Marvel would eventually do with Guardians of the Galaxy and Dr Strange. Martin Campbell really directed the film well, but the screenplay was flawed and I don't think Ryan Reynolds was right for the character.

Ryan was good looking, tall and funny stop acting like the character of Hal Jordan is this complex Oscar winner. There's no such thing as Ryan Reynolds not being right for the character as there's nothing complex about the character in the first place. |

Not terrible, not great. Had he not been in the MCU, Jeremy Renner would have been much better as Hal Jordan. Ryan Reynolds was miscast. Well, Reynolds and Martin Campbell didn’t get along during filming. Campbell wanted Bradley Cooper for the lead and he kinda needled Reynolds about his performance onset and made him do multiple takes. |
