The first one is 0% on RT. Max Cady was a fan, though. Even the second one scored higher at 8%. Hey, that’s progress. I never saw the third one as I was unaware of its existence until a few minutes ago.

I actually remember the third one airing on TV many years ago. It was a direct-to-TV sequel with only the grandpa and Gilbert Gottfried as the returning cast members.

I saw the first one for the first time recently. It was weird. I think it aged into this strange cautionary tale about not taking kids seriously. The parents just seemed so helpless when the kid says no, like it didn't occur to them that kids aren't interested in their authority.
I have no interest in watching it again or its sequels, but it was kinda interesting.

I like the first one. 2 is OK but too damn gross. 3 I only seen bits of.

They are hilariously OTT. These films are basically like dark comedy movies in a way.
John Ritter is brilliant in these films. "Here's daddy!!!"
The lemonade bit and the puke scene from Problem Child 2 lol.
Haven't seen the third one.
