Using giant bats certainly didn’t help Germany win WW1 and I doubt insectoid robots would have been that much of an improvement.

What about some sort of hybrid vehicle that combines some sort of wheels with legs? Like having wheels on the legs that come down when you need them, or maybe below the main body?

However, there are changes that could have occurred in WW2 to allow a German victory. If the Nazis had all been transformed into ravenous zombies it would have been impossible to suppress them. That was the premise for this magazine:

Those are good examples. I was thinking of having something more akin to wheels but treads could very likely be more effective. But I'm sure that somebody's made something like that too. When it comes to weapons, at least on a human scale, there's hardly anything that somebody hasn't thought of. It's a shame that most of the creativity is in video games and comics and not so much in movies.

I believe you've answered your own question. The Nazis couldn't even manage to transport one tank across the English Channel. So no chance with the above illustrated iron monsters.
