There would appear to be some truth in the adage 'only in America'....could something as unbelievable happen....guns and belief in devils being among the most crazy!

You really think this goes on only in present-day America? This level of lunacy goes back to tribal times, all over the world. Aztecs cut out beating hearts, Hindu wives threw themselves on their husbands' funeral pyres, a practice called 'suttee'. Germans gassed Jews and other 'undesirables' and put them in mass graves. Crusaders burned non-believers at the stake, people were drawn and quartered in the name of Christianity. Technically, voodoo was the first 'religion', Christianity and Islam just the most recent. The Crusaders didn't need guns, they had swords, fire, drowning, hanging... et al. People have been going bat-shit crazy over 'religion' since humans invented it to begin with.
