Umm…as someone who was a fan of the books as a kid my feelings on this are very mixed. I think Clifford looks very cute, but maybe not as Red as he is in the books. The girl playing Emily Elizabeth looks nothing like her. Pretty sure Emily was blonde in the books and not brunette? I can’t remember if Clifford actually talked in the books, but I know he did in the cartoons and so far it looks like he’s only barking in the movie.
The director is Walt Becker who directed Old Dogs, Wild hogs, Van Wilder. Oh yeah great choice there. NOT!!! There are 5 different writers on this movie and one of them wrote the movie adaptions of Baywatch and I-spy. Oh and he also wrote NORBIT!!!
