Death of Edgar Allen Poe.
He's been missing for about a month but then he shows up dead on the side of the street with some clothes that aren't his how did he die?.

There are numerous theories. One of the most persistent is that thugs got Poe drunk, dragged him around to voting places throughout Baltimore to vote for their candidate, then abandoned him to die.
