third installment in the Psycho series. Anthony Perkins actually directs this one. The movie is weird as fuck. More dark comedy than anything. Perkins apparently was heavily influenced by the movie Blood Simple which I haven't seen. Still it's entertaining and a solid closure of the theatrical Psycho trilogy.

It's good, but I always felt they made Norman too likable in this. I mean he is a serial killer after all.

Leonard Maltin Movie Guide Review: Psycho III (1986) - 1.5 out of 4 stars"Pointless sequel plays Norman Bates strictly for laughs, but maintains a slasher-film mentality. No suspense, just some gratuitious blood and unpleasantness. Perkins' directorial debut. Good night, Norman." 35th anniversary retrospective article: thespool.net/anniversaries/psycho-iii-35th-anniversary/
