Odin not God created the universe. Don't argue with me. I know this for a fact. This is the real story. Anyone who thinks God made the Heavens and the Earth is a fool. Excuse me, I do think Hinduism predates Norse mythology! Krishna, Parvati, Ganesh...

EG Brahma is Odin, you know, stuff like that. That's what I was taught to believe.

Brahma has a very different nature than Odin though. That is what people in southern Asia were led to believe. But I thought the people who called him Brahma simply misunderstood Odin's nature because he dealt with a them differently than he dealt with people in a harsher climate.

Well, people were worshiping Egyptian gods long before Yahweh and Ra got tossed out for Yahweh/Allah. Odin et al are the manifestation of deities found in most Indo-European mythologies. Celts, Norse, Greek, Hittite and other cultures share a common source for their pre-Christian/Islam pantheons. So do the Vedic traditions. Hinduism has a close relationship to these proto-myths as they continue to see the realm of the gods as not a paradise away from human behavior, but a magnified extension of human turmoil and triumph. Nah, Cthulhu has much the more impressive mythology.

'Odin not God created the universe.'
Odin IS a God.
This is silly.

Nah, Cthulhu has much the more impressive mythology. But made up by old Lovecraft. Like Tolkien and Lewis, he was influenced by mythology. That's just what someone without faith in Lovecraft's veracity would say.
