Why? So Raimi can jump ship after a couple of weeks, too?

I feel Vaughn is best for MoS2, but his style also lends itself to The Flash.

Just hire Sam Raimi and be done with it. I love the Raimi Spider-Man movies. He could do Flash justice and then some. He's also a creative in-camera action director, so what he could do with Flash would be interesting.

They starred the worst possible actor available to play the role at the time, took away any semblance of Parker's personality, and had the worst superhero film villains ever. Honestly, the only good Sam Raimi films were the ones starring Bruce Campbell or Liam Neeson. Everything else he made is just is overly sentimental crap with no bite to it.

Good. Hopefully they get rid of Barry Allen and have Impulse (Bart Allen) instead. We already have Barry Allen and Wally West on 'The Flash' TV show. An Impulse movie would be something new and fresh and Impulse was much faster than Barry and Wally 'cause he was born a speedster.

I prefer pretty much every other actor to ever give Spider-Man life to Maguire, including voice actors.

So Sam Raimi and Marc Webb have bowed out of it, guess that leaves Zemeckis and Vaughn, I'd take either really but I wouldn't be shocked if they bowed out too.

I'd be happy if Vaughn were involved in any DC film really, Superman or The Flash. As a player in the arts and entertainment world he helped Guy Ritchie's career take off, his film Layer Cake was a big reason why Daniel Craig was cast as 007, his film adaptation of Kick-Ass improved upon the source material and made the main characters more likeable, he successfully adapted Neil Gaiman to screen with Stardust, and despite all that was stacked against him he still churned out one of the most acclaimed X-Men installments( He was also the one who cast Kelsey Grammer as Beast before he exited X-3). Another good factor to take in is that Vaughn is of the opinion that the dark and gritty trend of superhero movies has to stop, and thinks Nolan's Batman movies, while good, started this trend which is plaguing the DCEU right now and turning people off, www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/matthew-vaughn-dark-superhero-films-761096
