I know this one film from the early.80's. It's basically like, the director of it tried to make a david lynch film. But not just a david lynch film, if david lynch made an early 80's slasher film. That's what this film is. Because it gets so surreal and bizzare, and you can't really tell if they actually knew what they were doing they intended it to be that way, or if the director was just incompetent and insane.

i'm thinking of ending things comes close, but is less ambiguous and open to interpretation
NWR's Only God Forgives and The Neon Demon are quite Lynchian but with a much colder (Kubrickian?) formalism and sense of detachment
Parts of a lot of Sion Sono films are quite Lynchian, particularly Strange Circus and Guilty of Romance
Horse Girl is sort of Lynch-lite
Under the Silver Lake looks like it wanted to be a Lynch film, but missed the mark by a pretty wide margin, at least for me
